CAMO TIME

Camo_8

Hey lovers and cheers to the start of another weekend.

Is it just me or do you feel as though this year is rapidly eating away?! I have big plans for 2016 and at the same time, I am still trying to catch up on left over items from 2015. For instance, I have a file full of images that were intended for blog posts but as the Xmas holidays turned out, I used my time to relax rather than blog. Can you blame me?

The images included a set of my little girl squad in a camo themed photoshoot. Since I could afford clothing, camo along with tartan has always been a part of my wardrobe. Now, I’m beginning to introduce this print I love so much into my girls wardrobe. I would have done it ages ago however clothing in this print was almost impossible to find until recently. Using styling tips from one of my fave mummas Charlotte from Milk N Honee, I coordinated the girls and I so that we’d be all matchy matchy but not to the point where there’s cheese on top.

I believe these images to be very cute although I am a little biased. What do you think?

Thanks for dropping by.

FATHERS DAY

FD_TSG_2

Over the years, my husband has received a cool (and expensive) suite of gifts to celebrate this very special day. I do like to use fathers day as an opportunity to spoil him. After all he gives us so much and never ever asks for anything in return. This year it’s extra special as he’s got not 1 but 2 babes to celebrate with so I’ve decided to get them in on the fun.

This year, rather than opting for an expensive gift, I’ve gone down the novelty track and purchased some clothes for the babes to wear for him on the day. He has not seen these yet so guaranteed it is going to blow his mind. I’ve got a little special tee for him too. Stay tuned….

Adorable tee’s available now at Bright Star Kids.

RUN

Run_TSG_9

When it comes to raising our girls, I’ll admit that I’ve always worn the strict hat. While I make the rules and expect the husband to follow suit it doesn’t exactly happen that way.Indeed parenting has it’s challenges but I won’t go online about it.

With so much going on at the same time I’ve definitely relaxed over the years. Things that I said I’d never do as a parent, I did. There’s no textbook on how to parent and if there are then it should only be taken lightly. I mean really, how does the book know your kids as well as you do!

One thing that you definitely learn to do more of on the parenting job is run and act like a kid all over again.

ICE-CREAM

Icecream_TSG_5

I usually end up in K-mart when it’s time to top up on basics for the babes. Not only is it affordable but if you’re lucky, you’ll also land some awesome gear.

On my recent trip to K-mart, flannel pj’s was on the shopping list. It’s Winter and my eldest was suddenly wearing crop tops and 3/4 length pants so sleep. I swear my daughter wakes up and suddenly she’s just taller. Growth spurts aside though, the flannel pj’s were at a reduced price of just $5!! Let’s just say I bought up.

Next thing you know, the girls were in matching pj’s and oh my goodness these little ice-cream babies sure looked cute.

These pj’s are still there so go get e’m loves.
